I am currently a sophomore majoring in human evolutionary biology and am aiding Marianne Moore on the White Nose Syndrome skin immune protein study. I am helping identify Pseudogymnoascus destructans, the fungus that causes WNS, on bat skin swab samples using real time PCR (qPCR). I am also researching and developing a knowledge base that will help our methodological considerations of the proteomics aspect of the study. I look forward to researching such an important ecological issue.
